How the Cookie Crumbled

The Story Behind Bun Intended

Bun Intended is more than just a business—it’s a labor of love that combines my passion for baking, creativity, and humor. My journey began years ago when I ran a small baking business during a gap year after high school. That year was a whirlwind of mixing bowls, oven mitts, and happy customers, and it cemented my love for the art of baking. But life, as it often does, took me down different paths.

In college, I majored in marketing and dove headfirst into graphic design, discovering a whole new way to express my creativity. These skills became my professional foundation, but the joy of baking always lingered in the background. Fast forward to a few years after graduation, when I became a mom. Life with my son was full of sweetness, but I found myself missing the time I used to spend in the kitchen.

Two years after he was born, I rediscovered baking during the holidays. Mixing dough and decorating cookies brought back a sense of joy and calm I hadn’t realized I needed. However, with my husband’s job requiring us to move regularly, opening another bakery wasn’t in the cards. That’s when I decided to combine my love for baking with my marketing and graphic design experience—and Bun Intended was born.

Bun Intended is a place where baking puns and creativity rise to the occasion. Here, I design products inspired by the joy of baking, each infused with a little humor and a lot of heart. Whether you’re a professional baker, a hobbyist, or simply someone who appreciates a good laugh, my goal is to bring a smile to your face and a sprinkle of warmth to your day.

Thank you for supporting Bun Intended and being part of this journey. Together, we’re proving that you don’t need to be in the kitchen to spread a little sweetness.
